The incident happened after a taxi driver picked a man up from JD’s nightclub in Morley at around 2.40am on Sunday July 1. The man, described as white, 25-27 years old, 6ft tall, of thin build and had short dark hair, was wearing a pair of blue jeans, black t-shirt with a motif on the front and he was carrying a white “I LOVE JD’S” t-shirt. He threatened the driver with a black handled kitchen knife demanding money. The complainant attempted to grab the blade of the knife and suffered cuts to his hands and loss of blood.
